Opera audiences are captivated by Bryan Hymel’s voice, which combines "Wagnerian muscularity with bel canto sophistication" and is equally capable of heroic nuances and impassioned flights of fancy. His passionate and subtle Rodolfo in La Bohème at the Metropolitan Opera had the critics in raptures and the American tenor is now a fixture on stages at Covent Garden, the Opéra de Paris, and the opera houses of Munich and Vienna. Young Greek soprano Irini Kyriakidou has recently performed in Don Giovanni at Teatro La Fenice in Venice and at the Royal Opera House in London… ROH is also where she met Bryan Hymel, with whom she now forms one of the most exciting opera couples, in life and on the stage. Their favorite duo? Rodolfo and Mimi in La Bohème : an opera which they have chosen to highlight in this first together recital in Paris.
