The concerto final of the Long-Thibaud-Crespin competition, a treat for music lovers hungry for exceptional talent, artistic quality and suspense, is the highlight of a week of intense international competition, requiring young participants to give their all. They must win over a prestigious jury chaired by Stephen Kovacevich, which awards prizes at the end of the concert, and it is therefore the decisive evening. For this final challenge, competitors have the honour of being accompanied by the Orchestre de chambre de Paris conducted by Fawzi Haimor, as they play a concerto selected after the semi-final recital stage of the competition. This unique annual event in France, whose status is legendary, gives pride of place to celebrating talented young performers’ spirit and excellence.
