With his handsome leading man’s features and natural elegance, Frenchman David Fray has embarked on a dazzling career. He studied under Jacques Rouvier, won the 2nd Grand Prize at the Montreal International Piano Competition, and made his public debut with an astonishing and successful first recording of Bach and Boulez, an usual “marriage”, which elegantly emphasises his personality and fondness for musical affinities. In 2009, Virgin released his album of pieces by Schubert (Six Musical Moments and 4 Impromptus) which also made an impression. He is proud to declare his long-standing passion for the Romantic repertoire, where he displays his sensitivity and virtuosity in equal measure.
